Military Connectors

I’m a big proponent of TPC Wire & Cable and have used many of their product offerings over the past several years at Simpson Tacoma Kraft. We used the 16/3 Super-Trex® Ultra-Gard® Portable Cable power our new LED lights on one of our roadways. Regular SO Cord would always become dry rotted and crack, causing the light to become inoperable. I have not experienced this problem with the Super-Trex cable.

MIL-C-26482 Series 1

TPC’s MIL-C-26482 Series 1 connectors combine high-density inserts in a miniature circular metal shell. These connectors are intermateable and interchangeable with all MIL-C-26482 connectors. This style of connector uses a bayonet style coupling system for quick mating and unmating of the connector. TPC has taken the standard MIL-C-26482 Series 1 design and developed a new back shell that incorporates a sealing grommet and strain relief for added cable life. The shell design is a machined aluminum incorporating a low profile design and a reduced overall length for close quarter installations.

There are 32 contact layouts available ranging from 8 to 24 positions and up to 22 amps per contact. Contacts available are 20 AWG and 16 AWG. The combination of TPC’s High-Performance Cable, the proven reliability of the MIL-C-26482 Series 1 connector and the Flex/Strain Relief of our new back shell design makes for an unbeatable system.
