    Wire & Cable Accessories

Our weld lead and power lead cables are subject to extreme conditions. They lie in oils, solvents, soaps, and are subject to being run over by forklifts and other machinery. Previous to TPC, we changed out cable two to three times per year on each of our eight welding machines. Some of our machines have been equipped with TPC cable for three full years!

    WIRE AND CABLE SLEEVING

TPC Wire & Cable has cable sleeving options for every industrial environment imaginable. Each type of cable sleeve offers its own unique form of security and temperature resistance. Ceramic, Fiberglass and Silica cable sleeves provide temperature protection from -65°C to 1200°C and as high as intermittent temperatures of 1420°C. Abrasion-resistant sleeves are built with a thick nylon/polyester blend fiber to protect electric cables, water lines, air lines, and hydraulic hoses from damage. If you need additional assistance, a TPC associate will gladly help you find the perfect wire and cable sleeves for your application.

We offer both abrasion-resistant and high-temperature wire and cable sleeving options to help you avoid the frustration of unnecessary downtime and perform regular electrical maintenance safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Types of Cable Sleeves and Where to Use Them

Cable sleeving is available in many types of materials, each offering a different benefit. TPC's selection of sleeving is no exception.

    • Fiberglass: Fiberglass has very fine strands that help keep it very flexible.
    • Ceramic: Ceramic has special finishing compounds that reduce friction for easier installation.
    • Silicone/Fiberglass: This combination includes an additional extra-thick silicone barrier, providing added protection while maintaining flexibility.
    • Reflective/Fiberglass: This sleeve has an aluminized heat seal film that acts as a barrier to radiant heat.
    • Abrasion-Resistant: This cable sleeve is made with extra heavy-duty fibers that are impregnated with abrasion-resistant polymers.

Cable sleeving can be used in a variety of applications, including:

    • Hose protection
    • Cable covers
    • Protection from abrasion
    • Welding cable protection
    • Cable tray protection
    • Protection from molten splash
    • Protection from oil, water, or grease

Industries that frequently need sleeving options for their harsh industrial environments are:

    • Auto plants
    • Steel plants
    • Food and beverage manufacturers
    • Utility power stations
    • Plastic molding shops
    • Refineries
    • Paper mills
