    Unshielded Cable Products

    We needed a better cable in critical areas of our control system so TPC showed us their Super-Trex® and Trex-Onics® products but TPC challenged us to try anything to cause a failure. We decided to try the most abusive thing we could think of — run the cable over with a 60,000 lb track rig. When the initial test didn’t cause a failure, we performed a 0 degree turn, pivoting directly on the cable. The only damage to the cable was the abraded outer casing. Since this experiment 3 years ago, we have been using Super-Trex® and Trex-Onics® for our mission-critical cable assemblies, without a failure.

    Chem-Gard® 150 Unshielded Single-Conductor Cable

    Chem-Gard® 150 Unshielded Single Conductor Cable has excellent chemical, abrasion and heat resistance. This flexible cable has been rated at conductor temperatures of 150°C (302°F) and as low as -60°C (-76°F). Chem-Gard® cable is roughly forty percent smaller in diameter than SOOW cable allowing it to be used in areas that require a tight bend radius. In cable cat track testing, Chem-Gard® 16/12 completed over 1.7 million cycles without failure. Chem-Gard® 150 is available in shielded and unshielded options as well as single or multi-conductors.

    • HIGH-TEMPERATURE FLUOROPOLYMER FILLERS — Will not wick up contaminants into cable. Allows conductors to move freely within jacket for improved flexibility in dynamic applications.

    • FLUOROPOLYMER JACKET — Ideal for harsh chemical environments. Excellent defense against cutting and abrasion. Resistant to oils, acids, solvents and chemicals. Designed for continuous temperature environments up to 150°C (302°F).

    • OPTIONAL ULTRA-SHIELD CONSTRUCTION — 90% coverage heavy duty tinned copper braid shielding provides protection from EM and RF interference in addition to superior mechanical strength in abusive environments.

    • SMALL DIAMETER — Fluoropolymer offers excellent electrical properties and the product is much smaller than most cables of the same AWG size and conductor count. This allows the product to be used in areas that require a tighter bend radius.

    • 1.7 MILLION — In cable carrier testing, Chem-Gard 16/12 completed over 1.7,000,000 cycles without electrical failure.
