The repetitive motion of machinery will destroy a conventional flexible cable in a matter of minutes leading to recurring failures and costly downtime. A cable that is simply flexible, does not mean it will perform through the constant and repetitive abuse of variable, torsional, and rolling applications. A flexing cable must be engineered and tested to handle millions of cycles of repetitive bending, mechanical stress and damaging environmental elements such as heat, oil, ozone, chemicals and UV exposure.     The Trex-Onics® product line is designed for continuous flexing applications in harsh environments. Fine copper stranding lengthens flex life while thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) insulation is incorporated, allowing allows the conductors to glide independently and thus preventing binding and corkscrewing. In addition, a polyurethane jacket serves as a superior first line of defense by providing heavy-duty abrasion and cut resistance. 

     

    Super-Trex® Triple-Gard Portable Cord is designed for extending cable life in tension and flexing applications. Containing 2 1/2 times more conductor stranding, TPC’s cable reduces conductor fatigue and breakage. Its ribbed, oil-resistant insulation resists the negative effects of lubricating oils and most chemicals while a rayon-reinforced braid also adds tensile strength. The jacket, itself, is a specially compounded TSE material that serves as a superior first line of defense against tearing, abrasion, impact, oil, ozone, heat, weather, and most chemicals.
